Rose hip ice tea

Rozenbottel Ice tea
I like tea, I like tea very much .. but rose hip has this overwhelming sweetness which I don't seek in tea. I'd rather have a cup, well I'd like a kettle actually, of Chinese gunpowder (green) or the traditional oolong tea (oolong tea means black dragon tea) which is also a green tea.

As for what I've understood green tea is the most healthy but tea in general has been proven to have positive effects on your health.
  • Increases metabolic rate
  • Boost immune system
  • Reduced risk of strokes (20 % less when consuming 2/3 cups a day)
  • Less cortisol production (stress hormone)
However .. adding milk to tea will block the healthful effects in protecting against cardiovascular diseases (heart and blood vessels)

So that said, I used the rose hip tea to make ice tea, which is just outrageously tasty and refreshing.

Recipe

Boil 1 liter of water, once boiling shut down the hot plate.
Put in 2 teabags and let it in for 10 minutes (or a few hours if you like a strong taste)
Optional: put in a few spoons of sugar to sweeten it up.

Now put in the fridge and wait a couple of hours

Tip: I like to add ice and lemon slices.
Enjoy your fresh
